The difference between inert alumina ceramic balls and active alumina ceramic balls
1. Inert alumina ball
Inert alumina ceramic balls are widely used in petroleum, chemical, fertilizer, natural gas and environmental protection industries, as covering support materials for catalysts in reactors and tower packing. Inert alumina ceramic ball has the characteristics of high temperature and high pressure resistance, low water absorption and stable chemical properties. It can withstand the corrosion of acid, alkali and other organic solvents, and can withstand the temperature changes in the production process. Its main function is to increase gas or liquid distribution points, support and protect active catalysis with low strength.
Alumina grinding balls have the characteristics of high hardness, high density, low wear, smooth surface and corrosion resistance. They are the most ideal grinding media for grinding glazes, blanks and various powder materials.
2. Activated alumina ball
Also known as modern water purification activated alumina. The use of alumina (AL2O3) in the catalyst is usually called activated alumina. It is a porous, highly dispersed solid material with a large surface area. Its microporous surface has the characteristics required for catalysis. Such as adsorption performance, fluoride removal performance, drying performance, surface activity, excellent thermal stability, etc., so it is widely used as a catalyst and catalyst carrier for household desiccants and chemical reactions
